During our last week in Ecuador we went back to Casa Blanca which is where our journey began. We were able to finish an old project (which I have been so excited to share with everyone) and even started a new ministry.
Our project that we finally completed was painting all the rooms in Casa Blanca. My team started this project by doing listening prayers and coming up with themes for each of the nine bedrooms based on what the Lord told us. Fabi and Mabe have been wanting to do this for years and it was so wonderful to help make their dreams become a reality. It was also so amazing to talk to the Lord about the rooms and to just think about and pray over the countless missionaries who will pass through these rooms in the future. We hope that the rooms are a comfort and encouragement to all who will pass through them. Here are the final products of some of the rooms!
We also were able to help teach English over zoom when we weren’t painting. We partnered with Cru to teach classes of middle and high schoolers about Jesus while also teaching them English. This was a brand new program method because Cru hasn’t been able to minister in schools for over a year due to the pandemic. It was amazing to help start this new ministry and tweak the program so it can be as effective as possible. It was such a unique experience to see how the Lord can even work over Zoom and I loved spending my last week hanging out with some really cool middle schoolers.
